There is a character called Soumyojyoti or Soumyojyoti Banerjee. An engineering grad with an MBA.A super punctual person whose mettle at his workplace is renowned. He can be trusted with completion of any project when assigned to him at the best of his worth.People often hog around him for advises and knowhow. He is a person not to be fiddled with. He has a huge respect for people for whom 7.00hrs means 6.55hrs. He has a huge love for technological innovation and has acted as the pioneer axon for the advocation of many innovative work techniques during various facets of his career.
There is another character called Sam or Marcus Sam. He is an artist; a photographer,a writer and an entertainer. An admirer of nature with a huge passion for travel and good food & cultural learning. This person is a lover and a flirt. He is a little lazy and a huge procrastinator. Some people say he is very jovial and can lighten up any grim situation with his conversations. His photos have been published worldwide in many big magazines. He is also a contributing photographer for a few stock photo agencies. He says that no one has trained him to take photos but he is the kind of a person who can frenetically exhaust 50,000 shots in a calendar year if fancy takes him.
One thing common to both is that their family have supported them always for doing what they felt was good. Also they both say that they are always short on time, which I believe is a total lie.. :p
Soumyojyoti & Sam however happen to be the same person….
Welcome to my world.. ;)
Please Note: I have been asked often, if not always – ‘Have the Images been Photoshopped?’.. The thing is most big magazines/networks etc have the policy that you cannot ‘photoshop’ your images beyond a certain limit (eg. please read National Geographic‘s guidelines on photoshopping images : Here ) ; Also I hope you have already seen an example set of my recently featured images : Click Here if You Haven’t .. Apart from that most images by anyone involves a subtle amount of ‘corrections’ as I would like to put them. Raw image out of a 3000US$ worth camera will otherwise look as flat as a plain iphone image..
** N.B **
1) All pictures have been compressed & reduced in quality to enable proper bandwidth utilization for Non-Broadband users. Even though ideal view size would be 125% depending on screen size..
2) All pictures are copyrighted to Marcus Sam. No part of his work shall be used or reproduced without his prior consent.
3) An Excellent Note by Tony Wu on PHOTO PRICING POLICY . Though Marcus Sam reserves the sole authority over pricing on his photos which he might even give away for free or at a very nominal price depending upon the cause & the purpose.
4) Layout of the blog has been kept very simple without the employment of much ‘flash player’ keeping in mind the older generations and people from not so tech-savvy parts of the world. Also the images have been kept on a large display so that there is no requirement of installed ‘flash player’ every now and then whenever a photograph seems interesting.
